Who is Jesus?

Today I went to the school mass at the school my mom teaches at, and the priest (who's a friend of our families), centered again on something he once looked at in a Sunday homily. That is, who is Jesus?

Above all in today's gospel, why did they want to kill Jesus? Was it because he was a good teacher? This is a way we can see Jesus. But it really does not lead us into any change in our lives. If he was merely a good teacher who taught radical ideas, then he could be ignored.

So we are asked this question ourselves. Who is Jesus to us? Is here merely a good teacher? Or is he something greater. Something requiring us to make a change in our lives.

Think of that in context of what I wrote yesterday. About how we as Catholics are called to do much more than pick and choose, but to make a change in our lives, to form ourselves into the image of God.

If we believe that Jesus is truly sent, is truly from a better and higher place, then are we willing to accept that he is calling us also to that place?

In this time of Lent, think, who do I believe Jesus is? And what does this mean for my life? How or what do I have to change?
