Going Home Rejoicing

Today's blog post is kind of going to pick up talking about what Yesterday's blog post talked about. I guess this week is kind of going to have theme. Which the next couple of weeks will also probably have a theme. Next week is the week following Passion Sunday, and the last complete week of Lent. And then the week after that is Holy Week. And then the week after that is Easter. So, those weeks of blog posts are going to have a theme for each week.

Yesterday, on Twitter I saw a post about someone who basically said they were changing their life around, and considering being Catholic. And this is what we were talking about before. About coming to God, about turning around. Finding His Love, accepting his free gift of grace, and then accepting and loving him fully. There was another thought I wanted to connect to this, but of course, I forgot it.

But it does relate to conversion, returning fully to God, returning to him just like the Prodigal Son. And I do not have the exact post from there, but for the most part, the comments on there were very positive, sharing joy. Just like the joy the father had when his son came home. That's the joy God has, and that's the joy we as the church should have.

That's why the photo for today is again from the Prodigal Son, with the father hugging his son, rejoicing that his son is back, home again with him.

The next couple blog posts will remain talking about conversion (as they already have been). Tommorow we have a mass of Christian Initation that I am serving for, that I will be talking a little about. Then, over the coming weeks in Holy Week, is the Easter Vigil, and then after that we have The Octave of Easter. I want to make one thing clear... IT'S NOT EASTER YET! It's still Lent, Easter is still two weeks away! It might be Spring, but IT'S NOT EASTER! People have Easter Decorations and all up, but, there still is time before Easter!
